FRee Fridge Project
In March 2026, Piedmont Triad DSA’s Mutual Aid Committee established a free fridge and pantry project. The idea is simple: anyone is welcome to take what they need and everyone is encouraged to donate what they can.

How to Donate Food
You do not need to sign up to donate, but we do ask that donors please follow our donation guidelines that can be found on the fridge door.
The fridge & pantry always needs:
Fresh fruits & veggies
Bread and baked items
Single serve drinks
Hygiene products
Canned items (including canned pet food!)
Homemade food (dated and labeled with common allergens, e.g. milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame)
Please do NOT leave:
Alcohol or drugs
Expired or moldy food
Opened or partially eaten food
Unlabeled homemade meals
Raw meat or seafood (except in freezer)
Sign up to be a fridge monitor
In addition to donating food, you can volunteer to be a fridge monitor! Being a fridge monitor is easy and it helps us with simple but important tasks that are necessary to maintain the fridge like keeping it clean and safe for everyone. Want to help?
