The Socialist Politics in Office Committee (SPOC) was formed in October 2025 to be the strategic core of our chapter's electoral work, responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing a unified political strategy to build independent socialist power. We craft multi-level electoral plans for membership ratification, vet and recommend candidates and ballot initiatives for endorsement, and recruit and develop socialist candidates for office. Additionally, we hold elected officials accountable, create educational resources on government structures, serve as the liaison to national DSA electoral bodies, and provide regular reports to the chapter membership while overseeing all subordinate electoral working groups.
